How interesting!!! Has me planning to look for the kiddie pools....will be available soon..... cant wait. Might try to sew the bags from the landscaping fabric... brain is filed with swirling ideas!!

Thanks guys. I had found another video by Larry Hall on youtube on his kiddie pool hybrid system. And I am ordering the floats and hose connections to set up another kiddie pool garden with the bags in it. I had not seen this video. And for some reason early this morning the video Dan posted did not show as a video.??
are you creating a watering system??

Here is the video on the kiddie pool garden that I am doing.

@Arielle this is it. The float is in the clear plastic container and the rocks cover the standing water. It's easy. I am going to do a couple of these for now.

To keep alge and mosquitoes from growing in there .

Thats what I thought. Could you use fish?

If it's wet and get sun light algae will grow, not much you can do about that... For standing water you can use mosquito dunks, they are not a pesticide or chemical they are a slow release bacteria (and they are organic) that kills mosquito larvae and a very small number other larvae staged insects while being harmless to everything else...

You couldn't use fish, because temp and water levels would be too variable to let the fish survive. I wonder if you could use wood chips or mulch. Biggest ? related to that might be if it would go anaerobic in there. If I tried that, I think I'd put a bunch of drainage holes in the bottom of the water reservoir to allow slow drainage of all water.
