My beets are coming out, and I planted some rue today and verbena and basil, oh it is heaven to dig in the ground, put some seeds and plants and watch them grow and produce fruits.
I am always amazed by little tiny turnip seeds. How do they do that ?

such a little seed makes such a big yummy turnip ! Or tomatoes - little seed and makes such a big plant full of tomatoes ! AMAZING (or its just silly me ? )

Well the chickens had a party while I
Was gone all day....did y'all know that chickens realllly like fresh sweet peas and green beans?? O_0

It's exciting to see that ALL of my orchard trees have survived their first winter.
That is a great start.....can you imagine if you started one year earlier??????????

The best way to find out if you gonna like it- is to plant it. Plant a new herb you want to try. If you like it - plant it next year, if you won't - don't.
I don't like cilantro at all, but I plant it every year for my friends. They love it.

For me dill, parsley and chives is a must.I grow lots of herbs, not just the few standard ones. Herbs are brilliant.
I love a huge variety of herbs in my cooking and as I dont have a green thumb yet with herbs Im willing to buy at the grocery until my brown thumb turns green.....

We have all grown up in an era where modern medicine has nearly immediately efffects whereas the old methods are more subtle and take longer....at least this has been my experience in a limited number of treatments. Sometimes the first choice of treatment doesnt work, so on to the second choice..... Ive seen modern medicine use this tactic too.

Im glad you keep trying to find what works.

Experienced healers were worth their weight in gold me thinks.

I think you are right the healers of the old days were worth their weight in gold! Now days Dr.'s have sought out old timers healer recipes and have combined them into books and are now selling them.
I do know if you ever get a burn from fire or something extremely hot like a heating element from the stove or a pressure cooker blowing up and scalding you.
Pour cold water over it for a few seconds and then pour tea on it. Let the tea sit for about 20 min. there will be no trace of burn or blisters.
I have used both instant tea and tea bags and they both work.

I am also always amazed at the fruits of our labor.

While checking on my garden yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to find my strawberry plants are sending out runners all over the place!

I have a friend who's got a Liberty and some other variety of apple that are both fire blight and I think scab resistant. He says they occasionally sucker, so if they do, he'll save me the suckers. I've also asked him to save me any water sprouts for next year's grafting. Either way, those will make some fine apple tree starts. The suckers will be the root stock used by the nursery, and water sprouts provide nice straight scion wood.
