BYC KNITTING CLUB

Yes it made sense! I ended up figuring it out and wrote down every line I did along with what stitch it was, kept me on track.

I would consider separating the sides but where I only know the basics of knitting I don't think I could adjust the pattern, I wouldn't know what I was doing!

I am at the neck part now though.. And once again, more issues! The section of the pattern is in italics. The last sentence is confusing me.. I have googled it and kind of made sense but not enough to feel confident. For the other side would I go through steps 1-13 again but do it backwards? Thanks again in advance for your guy's help, you're awesome!

Example:
1/ K to end
2/K4, P2, P2tog twice, P1
3/K to end
4/K4, P2, P2tog, P1
and so forth?

Work 11 sts. cast off 3 sts work to end and complete this half first.
1/ K to end
2/ P1. P2tog twice P2. K4.
3/ K to end
4/ P1. P2tog. P2. K4.
5/ K4. K2tog. K2.
Work next 4 rows straight.
10/ P2. Inc in next st. K4.
11/ K6. Inc in next st. K1.
12/ P1. Inc in next 2sts P2. K4.
13/ K to end.
14/ p7. K4.
Put these 11 sts onto holding pin.
Break yarn and rejoin to other side of neck.
Work to match, reversing shapings and ending at wing hole edge. Thats row 13.

Where can I find the original pattern so I can help you guys out...

I've been knitting for almost 40 years , and this pattern is terrible . I know I'll get comments for that statement.
For the reverse shaping, instead of decreasing stitches you will increase stitches.
YOu could always leave those stitches on a holder make a second half(minus the tabs) and connect them with the kitchner stitch to join them . I Think....lol
Good luck Carol

I decided to get out a different pair of needles/yarn and try out just the neck part, and what I originally said seemed to work!
I followed the steps 1-13 of the neck division for the second side, but I did each step backwards to reverse the shaping. Woohoo!

You go woman......post a pic when you're done.

I am not the creative with my knitting. Give me a lace pattern and I will knit it like it was nothing. Sweaters or anything with shaping never works for me. I can hit the gauge and still end up with too tight or too loose items. Now I need to get back to my lace sock, so I can get to finishing up my shawl for next week.
