BYC Members - Help Us Come Up With User Ranks!

Should we count the posts that are from the silly games that we play on BYC? A person (myself included) could run up the number of posts very quickly by playing the one word response games.
Number of posts doesn't seem like a good way to judge a person for elite status.
I don't know how else to do it though.

Nice idea's!
If you were to go with the egg, peep(or chick) etc. you could always use the # of days in each cycle to match the # of posts.
Ex: egg = 0-21 or so posts.

Another idea: I'm on another forum (a parenting forum) that lets posters anonymously give other posters titles (the titles go through moderators first, of course, nothing offensive) for a small fee, $2 I think. They call it "dirty deeds done dirt cheap". It's HYSTERICAL, especially because unless the person tells you, you don't know who gave you the title! You get to keep the title for about 2 weeks. Anyway, just another thought--I don't remember what they use the money for, but I suppose it would be a good way to support the site or to raise money for a charity. I imagine it takes a lot of moderator time, though. I guess you could let people "buy" their own temporary and unique titles for a small fee, too.

This is a Great idea !

As a past mod (not this site) I love this idea. So many people get wraped up in post count that they will just post fluff to get up there. I have found on this site some of the best chicken people only post once in awhile. The extra money could go to helping the site, and using paypal it would be fast for some one who wants to buy for them self or give to another. The only thing I would change is that the title sticks until it is changed by a member. That way if some one really likes here title they do not have to rebuy it after 2 weeks.
