BYC members in Massachusetts?

Does anyone know of any mills in South Eastern MA that might have organic feed? The one I was told to go to no longer carries organic which means they just buy it from someone else anyway.

Hey! I'm in ashburnham and need some help figuring out how to keep water in with my ducks and chickens this winter. I have no access to electricity and have to carry water down daily. But when my ducks where little the would always just play in the waterer leaving nome for the chickens

Anyone need a Faverolles cockerel? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask before the last batch gets sent to freezer camp.

Do you still have him? I have wanted one! I have some SF hens and I've always thought that if I was going to get a rooster (intentionally

Now that we are having some winter weather, it has me wondering...is there ever a time that you don't let the chickens out of the coop? Is there weather that causes you to keep the door closed? What weather (if anything) would cause you to bring them into a safer, warmer place?
My coop has no electricity, and everything seems to be going well ~ so far. I know it's just the very beginning of the season. This is our first winter with them, and I don't know what ~ if anything ~ is too much for them! My friend is in South Dakota, and they are having -20 wind chill temps this week. She says she brought hers in to an unheated part of the house/garage, so they won't get warm, but they will be out of the worst of the extreme cold.

I suppose i should be glad we arent having massive snow storms and cold but it doesn't feel like the holidays. I WANT WINTER lol

Although it does get freezing later in the afternoon as the sun sets and then it's really cold at night
