Hi MA, Barrington RI here. We lost all 3 of our month-old chickens last night (human error--all mine). We had 2 speckled Sussex and a barred Plymouth. I feel just sick about this.

It's late in the season, but we want to try again. Anyone know of a place I can get chicks or pullets right now?

I was just going to mention on your other thread to post here. I think there are some feed stores in southeast MA that had chicks. One is in Mendon I think? Klems in Sturbridge should have some but you need to get 6.

If you felt like a road trip someone mentioned the Agway in Danvers had chicks. Even further away is Dodge Grain in Salem NH, but I know they have a ton of chicks available and there are no minimums.

Not sure but Morrison's in Plymouth might still have chicks.

Also if you don't mind ordering from a hatchery, I got mine from Meyer Hatchery in Ohio about a year and a half ago and I love them. They might still have chicks available

Black Ameraucana pair, free to a good home. Need gone this weekend asap. Located in Grafton MA. They have been regularly handled and are pretty friendly. Please DM if interested:)

So I have two almost 11 week old cockerels that will most likely need a new home. I would prefer a pet home. I have a friend who might take them but in case she can't I thought I would put some feelers out here. Local only. Heritage plymouth barred rock and Swedish flower. Here is a short video. PM me if you think you might be able to give one or both of these a home.

I'm in North Central Mass, and I'm looking for some hatching eggs. Maybe only 2? I have two broody sister hens who will not give up. I don't need anymore chickens, but I'm thinking hatching some eggs will be the only thing to break them. Anyone nearby have some I could buy? I'd prefer olive eggers but I'm open to whatever!
