BYC Mentioned in the Wall Street Journal - What do you think?

I don't know about hiding chickens but I do know that I gained a lot of useful suggestions and great answers to my question.
That is why I join BYC. Doesn't the Journal have anything to report on financing that they have to do stories on Chicken Forums.
I know the media has gotten out of hand and ridiculous. But what's next?
Aren't there wars, terrorist and a Depression 2 out there?
Made as hell

I wasn't keen on the only reference to BYC being "underground" in nature, but I actually did feel the article was well balanced to both "sides."

When I read the article, it was like sitting in the coffee shop on a Sat, and listening to the weekenders talk about us locals. I live 2 hours north of NYC. That paper is not written to appeal to country folks. The writer was looking at it from what we here call a "citiets" point of view. People from around here have been dealing with people from the city buying up weekend homes here. Then wanting to change our way of life. They become the majority & the locals that live here a minority. They do all they can to assume positions on the town boards, to set the rules they want us to live by. My point being, They see things in a different light. You'll never get them to print a story that doesn't appeal to the city persons way of life,or way of thinking.

Well, it wasnt "pro-chickens", but I was pretty wow'd by the ease of navigating their site. Anything they put up on their site has pics, and little movies, and very well edited text, and the ads are much less prominent.

So, I was glad for the chickens article. Even though I didn't like their negative reporting on chicken owners, I was glad to find a pretty good news site for online news reading.

When I was younger, and upset about a co-worker's negative commentary about how I did something, an older acquaintance told me, "Oh just get over it. Not everybody's gonna like you. Just keep being yourself, that's what makes this a world full of people. Its not just a world full of that person. Its all of us doing all our things the way we do them", so thats the way I read the Wall Street Journal about keeping chickens. Some people dont like it. So now I know a little bit more about those people.
