BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

I love all the new projects being posted!

I packed up that Buggy Barn pattern, along with the cut out pieces and gave them to the friend who told me how great they are to do!

She said she would finish the top for me and I told her to finish it for herself!

I will make something easy like a paper-pieced, stack'n'whack, template using, Y-seamed nightmare of a quilt.

Yes!

A stack n whack is a quilt made using strips of large print fabric and you cut fabric strips at the "repeats". You "stack" them carefully aligned and use a template and "whack" off pieces. Then you sew them together so they look like a kaleidoscope and becasue each of the whacked stacks are from different sections of the strips it looks like it was all done with different fabrics.

This is a queen Stack n Whack I did a few years ago.

The weather is TOO nice to be behind my machine. I have so much stacked and waiting, but the gardens call.
Nice jobs on the projects.

That was me a week and half ago. Rain started in the middle of last week and didn't stop until Sunday night. Not heavy but enough to make working in the dirt a no-no.

So now I'm working in the Quilting room. I didn't realize how many projects I have to get done!! Not to mention the room is completly torn up right now.

I don't think we are quite ready to plant yet this year. Folks around here predict the winters by the Wooly Worm. I saw 2 Wooly's this year and they were ALL wooly. I think we are gonna have some more bad weather before April gets here.
