Cut one out roughly and give it a go - you'll have to work it slowly around and then snip the seam to make it lie flat.

I am gonna try one later. I have alot of the shapes cut out already but I couldn't figure out how to sew them. Oh, well, something to work on in the future.

Normally when you sew you put the right sides of the fabric facing each other and sew them together. In this case you will be facing the wrong sides together and then sew the seam allowing for your 1/4" seam allowance. Your first piece will wind up looking like a horizontal T. Then continue adding your pieces, wrong sides facing until you have reached the width of your quilt. Repeat these until you have enough strips to complete the length of your quilt. Then sew the strips together to form your quilt top.

I hope this makes sense?

Some of it isn't nice stuff - scratchy. I am planning to knit a long long long tube of it... and keep going longer and longer, then wind it up and make a spiral rug. ONE of these days. Either knit or crochet it not sure which yet.

That is a different one from the one I looked at for a quilt. But their directions make a bit more sense than the other site.

I'm struggling to wrap my mind around it, I might have to cut a couple out myself

Here are some pictures showing curved pieces being cut, pinned and sewn together. It's a different pattern, but the method of pinning the curve before sewing is the same.

The other link for putting this quilt together is great. I just thought a big color picture of a curve might help illustrate it a little more. Putting together a convex and concave curve, face to face, just seems wrong in the beginning!
