Gorgeous!!!

Hey Thanks, but just wait until I get done with the one I am working on now. I'll give you all a sneak peak at the fabrics later. hehehe

I now Love to Quilt more than ever before.

I wish I had more fabric so I could make little quilts for the foster kids in our area. The little kids come into homes without a "security blanket" and all they want is for someone to love them. Maybe in the future. Maybe.

I had to DUMPSTER dive in my own trash can to get those...

Thing is the weight in the can, they're held up by a nail in the wall near the top of the can, there is a hole drilled in the can so I can just hang it on or take it off when I need to etc.... BUT with weight it wants to move around, and I can see the lot getting DUMPED out. I'll have to figure that out....

(my husband eats chilli from a can for lunch a couple of times a week - so it shouldnt' take me long to save up some)

I was going to try decorate the can's but they look kinda cool just cleaned up. I might still glue some fabric on them or something... I'll think about that.

I actually told my husband to save up some of his own, it would be handy in the garage to put his nails and screws and such, and you can just take the can of nails you need, and when you're done, hang it back on the nail.

I thought of putting one lower down, like an inch or two from the bottom of the can... that would work, but I need to BEG hubby to go BACK outside and drill two holes.

I'll wait till I have a couple more cans, then get him to do two in each, and add a hole in these... he'll have to measure so we (HE) can put nails in the wall at the right distance apart as well.

Acre the quilt is beautiful.

Wild to solve your can problem you can do it several ways.

1) Punch a second hole about an 1/2 from the first hole on the same level and use the two nails to hang it from.

2) Take some velcro fastners attach one side to the wall and the other to the can near the bottom to stablize it.

3) Take some painters tape and mark where the bottom of the can rests against the wall and then put a couple of nails in there to stabilize the can, finishing nails should work for that. Once the nails are in place, remove the painters tape.

4) You can also use those screw in cup hooks to hang the cans with. You can also use them to hold small baskets as well to put stuff in.

5) You can also take a curtain rod, set it below the bottom of the cans to stabilize them and at the same time give you something else to hang things from.

If I think of anything else I'll post it

Hmm the velcro might work - if I can find some with the sticky back, I might have to buy some... Hmmm that would be better than putting more holes in the wall.
