BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

I just found this thread. I'm a little behind I guess. I've been busy with baby quilts and other baby items like fancy burp cloths and bibs. I've also made tote bags for my daughter and granddaughter for their new babies. My granddaughter is expecting the first week in July but my daughter delivered this morning. Baby Reagan came into this world weighing a whopping 10lb. 4 oz. and is 20" long. I hope to go over the mountain and see her later this week. I was in on the later winter quilt block swap and others before that but had to beg off until I got caught up with all this other sewing I needed to do. I've also been on most of the granny square block swaps.

Absolutely love the bargelo pattern! I saw it in Keepsake quilting and I think a Fons and Porter. I'm the type that can look at something then figure out how to make it. Still collecting colors for the one I plan to make....

I made this baby quilt for my best friend's soon to be grandson. It's not perfect but I like the bright colors.

What do you mean it's not perfect?!;-) From what I see it is grandly done and remember- no one knows the 'mix ups' made unless you point them out, lol. Love the bright colors too.

Thanks. It's just some of the blocks didn't evenly match up. But DH says that the imperfections are what make it unique

The Amish have a custom of intentionally placing an error in their quilts to discourage ego and encourage humility, so you are just following a traditional custom. Really it looks great!

There's a fall quilt block swap due oct 15 with ten spaces available. We are still in the process of voting on which block to do and the color scheme is blue with your choice of other colors.
