Where did you find the watermelon fabric on the backside? I'm guessing I might not find any until Summer... LOL And possibly not even then

Hello all! I'm a new BYC member with no chickens as yet, but I enjoy this site very much and I'm learning all about raising chickens when/if I ever get some.

I have sewn since junior high school and have quilted for about 25 years. Now I am into redwork/bluework and learning sashiko (Japanese country quilting) also. So many projects....so little time!

Ok... gotta share the ABC quilt I'm working on for my son... planning on having it done next year about this time for his 3rd birthday

It's my first time hand quilting and it's taking me sooo long... I'm on 'D'. Doesn't help that my son broke my hoop

I keep forgetting to grab a new one when I'm actually near a craft store. This will be my project I take with me to the boys' wrestling meets this winter..... hopefully I will make good progress.

Here's the whole thing..... I'm going to bind the edges in red gingham.

And here's a close-up of 'C'..... can you believe there is NO chicken!!!

But there are some elsewhere

I'm quilting the pictures as best as I can... Crane loves how the apples in 'A' stand out like little bumps

I still need to decide on a pattern for the sashing.
