BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

Thank you for the kind words and the tip off of my bad link. I got lazy and didn't test it before posting

Thanks again, and it was a ton of work! I am glad to have it behind me. Though admittedly costuming for plays is very rewarding, which is how I keep getting sucked into it

. Whenever I say that I'm going to take a year off, DH always just laughs. He knows I'm weak.

Those are GREAT costumes!

Very impressed.

The cathedral quilt is great if you have lots of time and lots of patience! I was actually working on it a bit this afternoon! (yay me! lol)

I'm very impressed with your sewing.. I haven't ever tried to make actual CLOTHES. May try it one day, now that I have a decent machine.

Elven & Angiechick-----are you 2 going to get in on the Quilt block swap for March? Come on and join.... there are only 9 days left to sign up.

I don't think I can make this one.... I'm on a swap on another board I frequent, not to mention trying to finish up one or two other quilt projects.. including a baby/toddler quilt for my new niece... (born in September!) Yeah I'm behind a bit....

How often are the swaps on here? I'd love to get in on the next one if I can.

With the quilt block swap you can sign up for as many blocks as you choose. It canbe 1 block or 10 blocks. Whichever you wanna do. If you want in on March and kick out in April, that's fine. YOu are only asked to send as many blocks as you sign up for.

Let me know if I confused you or not, cause my brain is sorta frozen from being outside with the kids.

Hi Elven. I just a bit east of you in Gaston County. The zoo in Ashboro is really nice. Haven't been there in a few years.

Acres, I had a friend in Seagrove years back. Can't remeber her last name but her first name was Jodi. We just called her "Podunk". Dunno where that came from hubby gave her the nicname.

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm happy with how they turned out, as long as no one looks too closely

Honestly, I haven't quilted in 8 years, so I am going to have to retrain myself on piecework. I wouldn't wish my relearning pieces on anyone! Most of my quilts before were more free form with painting. Not bed quilts for sure.

I'm sure I will pick it back up again at some point, I tend to cycle through different hobbies. I loved doing it, but they are so time-consuming and take so much concentration that it was hard to do when life got hectic. I'm starting to feel that quilting "itch" though!
