You can shop online.

Buy a Visa gift card.

I know there are several convenience stores chains that sell them. Check the Visa website for locations available.

I buy the Visa Gift card for my Goddaughter every year for Christmas now. It's easier than trying to figure out the tastes of a teenager! They are taken everywhere just like a credit card.

Parson's Wife--We got one of those threads here somewhere. NanaKat started it. I'll go find it and post the link here.

ETA-- here you go.

Welcome to the crew Baustin. I think most folks right now are finishing up on their holiday quilting adventures. We've got a few different swaps going on as well. We are everything from those just learning to quilt to those who have been doing it for years. If you wander through the thread you will see some of the pics of our quilting adventures.

Now I must going clean my quilting room so that I can find the floor!!

PS--I will warn you in advance, if you are a Fabric-aholic you are among friends here. If you aren't one, you will be soon!!

PSS--Watch out for SE and Acres they like to pick on people and Ginbart eggs them on!! LOL!!

It sounds like fun. Like I said, I've been quilting for years but haven't done a lot in those years. The story of my first project during a bad winter and a divorce is a story in itself. I joined our local guild about a year ago but mostly what I've done is baby quilts, tablerunners and tote's. The machine quilting part I'm just learning. Just finished a class on different methods a few weeks ago. I'm finishing up on Christmas gifts also. I've crocheted afghans and knitted hats for my grandchildren and making tote's for my friends. I have lots of stash, both fabric and yarn. I haven't shopped online for fabric yet but with the price of fabric at our local quilt shop I'm going to have to try it. I shop online for most everything else. Our community is very small and there's not much here. The closest shopping where there is a JoAnn's or Hancock fabric is 80 miles away.

Yeah! Wally has got rid of so much of their fabric and craft supplies it's hard to find a group of coordinating colors. I needed 3 light and 3 dark for my log cabin quilt and couldn't get it at Wally World so bought it local and the top alone has cost me $50.00. You're right about driving a distance and then can't find it because I did that a couple of weeks ago when I wanted some fabric with chickens on it to make up for my daughter. I prefer to make scrap quilts so I can use up my odds and ends from other projects.

Good morning everyone,

I just thought you might be interested to see some of the materials etc that we can buy over here in the UK (they will also send them to the US).If you poke around on this site they have some beautiful stuff.

I haven't done any patchwork/quilting for some years -- I have a couple of huge cupboards full of my hoarded materials......!! So I might start again this winter.

I love following your sewing adventures. Good luck with them!
