BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

Finished the top of the quasi-watercolor quilt I'm making for Ellie and made DH hold it over the railing outside for a picture--it is pinned with the batting and backing and I started quilting it awhile ago.

I drew it from an old pattern that I found. I will try to draw it again and scan it for you. I have modified it some from the original.

I love those quilts. You did a good job. I finally finished binding a quilt I made for my grand daughter, one she can snuggle under when watching TV. They live in WA on the east coast where it's cold and damp. I posted the top a long time ago. Right now I'm working on the two hand pieced quilts I posted last week sometime. I just finished crocheting three Christmas Angels that I still have to buy the bells and finish with ribbon and flowers. They'll be pretty on the tree or on a package.

I love all of your quilts.....I have several tops that need finishing. Just did one and will start on another probably tomorrow.
I really like the medallion create as you go tops. Lovely!

WOW! Went out to feed and watched a little black Araucana bantam cross make a bee-line to a grassy patch under a tall diesel tank
stand. It was almost dark so I thought, "what a nutty little hen!" Well, I looked and she was sitting on 11 of her own dark
olive eggs! {{{{Brrrr.....}}}} If they hatch they will freeze! I picked her up and put her and the eggs into a large hay filled
dog crate in the barn. She complained mightily then snuggled down on her clutch. They were still warm, so she might hatch
some of them. I need to candle them. Maybe I should make her a little quilt too!
