We have our 2 neutered barn mousers ... good to go on cats right now.

Darn we are back up to around 20. They jacked up the snap program prices again. It was 5 for the boys and 10 for the girls. Now it's 10 and 20. I can't afford that. It was gonna be a stretch for the cheaper prices. We are gonna take the kittens that we can't find homes for to the farmer swap. We are keeping two and have two spoken for. So ten more to go. And some on the way. We keeping joking we should get purebred cats and have a cat farm.

Which Louet? A local spinning friend of mine has an old one. She can't find the large bobbins for it any more.

Welcome! Love to see some of your creations!

Its a Louet S17 Kit Wheel, my husband and I put it together.

awesome people to deal with. they are a bit pricey on some things but I really like their customer service and its a family run business. I love the small time guys... not may of them left any more.

Thanks for the welcome. I will try to post some picks of my yarn and stuff.

Take your time.

Does anyone know if I could blend Angora with Newfoundland dog? I know most people blend Angora with something and I have a ton of lovely brown Newfoundland on hand. The fiber is about 3-4" long and it's all soft undercoat.
Should I wash the fiber before blending it or not?

Sure, why not? The blend I mean.

Don't expect the yarn to have any memory though because Angora has very, very little and dog hair has none.

With the dog hair, make sure you are only spinning the soft under coat.

since there is no lanolin in either, I'd probably spin in the raw and wash the yarn.

I've heard a lot of good things about Paradise Fibers. never bought from them myself though
