BYC's 13th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2022

Pics
There are a couple left that developed beyond the first week. I am not seeing any signs of life, but don't have the heart to pull them yet.

I think it makes a good case for ordering from a few places for each hatch. If one doesn't work out, the other usually does.

I did have a bad hatch once with really low hatch rates on shipped eggs from a few places at once and I think it was mid-winter or early spring. The few that hatched were crossbeak, had extra legs, etc. That was not fun. Not a total waste though as it taught me to be more selective about my sources.

When do I put these Welsh Harlequin egg's on lockdown for this, and what should I have the humidity at?
Set them for hatching the same as for chicken eggs. When I hatched duck eggs, I used 75% humidity for them. Since they hatch in 27 to 29 days, I would lock them down on day 25 or 26 unless you see pips. Lock them down right away if you see any external pips.

Ok, thank's, first time with duck egg's.
