That is perfect timing! My New Year's hatch, may be a New Year's eve hatch since I set them on the 10th, in the AM. I am on Day 17. I am warming up the hatching incubator today. Lock down is tomorrow for me...
Mine are going from a foam incubator with turner and fan to a foam still air, with no turner and no fan, distilled water, and a penny, before 1982, (zinc helps with purifying the water) in the troughs. I have gotten good results with this method, 7/7 on Dec 9th, and 11/11 on Dec. 21.
I like the eggs to go on cord so the eggs don't roll about. Below are the Dec. 21 hatch.

I have 14, in the running for New years, and 4 ,second to the last row, that are not in that contest set for a later date..
See how the ones I have set in the lower pic do look different? Those eggs were from different hens I wanted to test out.
I hear peeping.
That is a nice one!First pip!
