BYC's 14th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2023

I did set eggs on the 11th but forgot to enter the contest. I only set 9 because my chickens aren’t laying very much right now. Three did not develop, so six made it to day 18. Three have hatched so far with a fourth one pipped. Nothing yet from the last two.

Four out of six have hatched so far. The fourth pipped, zippered, and hatched out in under two minutes.

Congrats on your 1st hatch! Your timing seems perfect with “early hatchers” how many eggs made it to lockdown? Shipped or HG?

Thank you! 13 made it to lockdown. We always have an early one go off way ahead of everyone else for some reason. As of now, seven are in the brooder, two more are pipped, and the last four are still holding firm. Be great if they all hatch today. Would be a true new year's miracle! (homegrown eggs; some from one of our Indio Gigante pens, some from a project pen, both groups easy to tell apart from each other)

Rabbit king what breeds do you have and where did you get them? how far did they ship?

All 6 that were pipped are out. Now to wait on the 2 slow pokes. I'll post pics when they fully dry!
