I got rid of all notifications!! I would tell you how I did it, but I have no idea.




Will there ever be a place where all the pictures we posted in the past will show??/

I might have missed this as I do not read every post,,, Not enough time in a day.....,or

I might have been told this and forgotten...Old age..

You read my post and followed the instructions on where to go to turn off all notifications....remember now?

Same thing. Nothing appears prior to yesterday morning. Is there some what that all previous alerts got deleted?

on laptop, I clicked alerts, show all.. I have 9 pages of alerts

They are also viewable from your profile. Hover over your "Account" in the upper right corner and then click on Alerts.

UNLESS you have a touch screen computer....then "hovering" over the account tab is useless because nothing shows up. You have to physically click on it with touch screens. We went through this discussion a couple of weeks ago during "Blooie's gonna cry again" week.

I'm in the same boat but just a little different, Ralphie. I did shut off alerts following instructions. But they came back. So now I totally and absolutely ignore them. Didn't have them for days, then suddenly there they are again. Now I can't turn them off no matter how step-by-step I go. No big deal...I just pretend I don't see them and click on my "watched threads". Unfortunately that way I don't see if I've been tagged anywhere so how long that will last is hard to say. I'm sorry, conversion gurus, but I don't like the way they are set up, I don't like that I can't tell which I've read unless I count them, I don't like how the highlighting that's supposed to help with that disappears after you click on the the first one, and I don't like that I find them more annoying than helpful. Just me, I guess.

As for email alerts, I don't want them. Ever. Period. And I don't get them. Didn't on the old BYC and don't on this one. Well, after the conversion when I was poking around and testing the things you all were doing, I thought they must all be unchecked on mine. So I looked. Nope, every one of them is checked to receive emails for everything from replies to when Nifty turns off his snooze alarm. But I get none. Not one. Know what? I'm leaving it just like that. I ain't unchecking a single box and waking up that sleeping giant.

It was like that last week, but not any more. Now it's only the alerts since yesterday morning. Perhaps I might have inadvertently clicked something, maybe the "mark all as read" and they completely disappeared?

I will try this now.
To mark all read and see if they disappear.

I have alerts back to Monday.. I just clicked the "mark all as read" ans so far they are still there.. will see tomorrow

I too just marked everything read and everything is still there..
I'd love the option to be able to delete them..heading over to the wish list thread now.
