Not gonna lie, the sister thread reminds me of facebook. I love the "forum" appeal of this old style forum, which is why I was so active here. If your new forum is a duplicate of BYH, i'm going to find it difficult to stay as active on a site with that design. It drives my OCD nuts with all the different bubbles.

Yeah, I'm trying to be excited and hope it will be different but I've always found the sister sites kind of ugly and/or at least a lot clunkier and hard to navigate than this one, which is why I never used them much but maybe it's just because I'm on my phone? Or maybe it's like a design choics rather than the software itself and they can change it?

Yes, the new site's design will be automatically "responsive", so you can move fluidly through desktop, mobile, tablet, etc!

Unfortunately, at least for the short-term, yes. We'll still have this data, but not an easy way to display it. It's on our todo list, but in the interim, we suggest that you copy all the ovation comments you've received. Maybe copy/paste them into an email to yourself, take a screenshot, etc.


Hahah! Yup, you almost won't be able to tell that you're on the new site it will look so horribly similar .  We definitely want to decrease the "I HATE CHANGE" factor as much as possible, and that includes keeping the look and feel as similar as possible.


No, they are closing down their platform, which is what is necessitating the move.

@sumi Ive tried to post on BYH, but I haven't gotten a email!I tried getting it to resend, nope, I've tried changing the Email, because I realized it was a little off, and it says that my email is already been used!How can I post?

you need to hit the forgotten password thing and make sure to check your spam

I don't like the other sites either. This format is much cleaner and easier to work here. I'm also one that hopes it keeps this "look and feel"...and use this one because it's much cleaner and easier.

Yeah I agree. I really hope it can stay similar and maybe they can fix the others while they're at it. Because I find it confusing too with all the stuff

What an enormous task this must be for you all!

We sure are lucky to have a staff of people that are so willing to help the community as it grows to such large numbers.
