Thank you for all your kind words everyone. Much appreciated. The difference a day makes! They are both out there as we speak. Windows are going in, trim is going up, nest box dividers are being fashioned and all the pointy screw heads have been cut off! And one of them is going to fix our deck roof!!!! He even brought tarps to cover it until the shingles come in.

My husband is taking the afternoon off to start cleaning up the mess and I spent the morning wrapping and organizing Christmas gifts and getting boxes ready to mail. I still have to decorate and make some soap, but I am feeling much less stressed this morning. With my illness, once I get to a certain level of pain, I become overwhelmed. I have been doing far too much physical stuff than is good for me, but I really want to make a nice coop and get this done and dusty before any snow flies.

Lucky you, workers today. My builder guys are busy playing in the snow i guess. But here is a miracle, the guy that did our driveway brought two loads of topsoil today!

Well they are still here working away! I feel like I won the lottery today. I just want them to finish their bits. I know there are lots of things I will want to do to the coop and run down the road, but they aren't necessary things. I just want the coop safe and secure for them.

On a side note, one of my cream legbars started laying and is going into the new nest boxes to do it! What a smart chicken!

So I went out today and started installing the rest of the trim. They guys came and caught me!! They said "Oh you wanted the bottom trimmed out too? Heck yeah I do. Then they looked at what I have done and said I do better work then they do. I give up. They are off doing stuff for my two roofs that got wrecked in the wind. I am beginning to think that the last window may never get installed. Or perhaps I should just do it myself. But at least they are here doing something!!!

Tonight after the girls head into the coop, I will do my touch up painting on the trim. It is looking very nice. All I have to do now is figure out how to install the HWC on the eaves and get that last window installed. I am going to do the trim on the inside windows since it is so easy. Wonder if they would let me use their nail gun??? LOL!!!
