Cackleberry Cottage~~comes to life!

Oh dear. This is a trial in patience, is it not?

My problem is that I have a doctor's appt. in another state and they are calling for snow while I am gone. My chicken sitter will not come and take of them in the snow in the coop they are in now and I don't want to have to lock them up the whole time I am gone. I promised they would be in the new coop before I leave so that her work will be minimal and she will have no trudging through the snow. I doubt we will get much, but you never know. Plus I don't want to leave with this coop hanging over our heads. Best to be done and dusted.
I am sure hoping your guys get on it. Hubby is talking to contractor now, something about a stress fracture.... Oh, the doctor didn't want to give him a boot for the foot or any pain pills. Sounds fishy to me. So likely he will not show up tomorrow.
I am past my patience level with this whole thing. I hope they don't want a reference for their next job because i don't have much good to say about them sadly.

All different ages.

7 cream legbars 6 months
2 polish 2 years
1 silver laced wyandotte
1 naked neck turkin
2 easter eggers
1 cochin
1 French black copper marans all 6 1/2 years old.
Oh! I love Polish! I have 11! Got pictures?
Once again the builders are not coming today. Husband gave him heck. I am getting ready to go out and soak up some sun. Maybe pour concrete...

Yes. There is ventilation around the whole top of the coop. None of the eaves are closed off. Plus there are 4 windows for summer and the whole back wall opens up as well. I live in the mountains so our weather can go from single digits in winter to 90s in summer.

So it is 12:15 and no workers have showed up yet. Grrrrrrr:barnie:barnie:barnie:barnie

I am going to have some lunch and then head back out to paint the trim so all they have to do is cut it and nail it up. I do not want to be in there trying to paint once the chickens have moved. Husband says this is the last job we will have them do. We like their work, but this not showing up or only working 3 or 4 hours a day is not cutting it.
