I know about ground eggshells and crushed oyster shells but I have a big ol' bottle of calcium supplements for people
that I can't take because they give me horrible heartburn.
They don't have magnesium or any other additives and the only ingredient is oyster shell
so I woder if I can just grind 'em up and add to the eggshells that I feed the hens?

If the only ingredient is oyster shell (which you already said it was) then I don't see any reason not to.

Shouldn't hurt as long as they have to go someplace. Would be an awfully expensive way to supplement them otherwise though.

Thanks guys. I thought it might be okay, but nice to get feedback. Yup it's an expensive supplement for them but better than tossing 'em out.
