Cream Brabanter's ...these girls are so sweet. They LOVE to be pet..
1f60d.png

Look at those eyes! They have the sweetest looking faces! I'm a sucker for crests too. What is wrong with me that I want everything I see on here?

My cream legbar girls have started laying again. But the eggs are HUGE. I thought they were ee egg because they were so big, but they were the wrong color. I saw one of the girls on the frigging egg today, and the other one getting out of the nest from the other egg, so I think its safe to say it is them and not mutant ee eggs. I am hopeful these eggs will be fertile since they are so much bigger and everyone is older.

They will hatch much better! The little pullet eggs I hatched them from were just silly!

My White Bresse's I hope I'm not over posting pictures of my Chickens. I'm suppose to be on bed rest and keep finding myself out admiring my Chickens...LOL
Your chickens are awesome miss molly. You are my inspiration, one day I want to grow up and have your set up! I have bresse coming this spring. I have been replanting grass in the Lowe area so there will be enough for everyone to free range. Going to do some buried water pipes too so I can Afford to have grass everywhere. We were going to try ad build a cistern system taking all the water off the roof and draining it into the lower lawns but I'm not seeing it this year unless I get really motivated. Does anyone know how strong the el non is supposed to be this year?
What nice mobile coops! I would love to have some like this and the land to rotate them on! I voted for them and hope that you win!

Posting this so I can hit the link and vote when I'm done. Cooper whitey is a handsome boy! He better scare off hawks. Does anyone know of people who sell hatching eggs or chicks from the south american chickens that have shiny blue and orange eggs? I'll post the name in a after I'm on the tablet and search cut paste is problematic. I'm thinking it would be nice to have one obscour breed. I only found one set of people who don't have postings since 2008 on the internet. The inside coop is working great! All we have to do now is train everyone to get in and out and get an automatic door. We got Jamaican blue mountain coffee from trader joes this weekend as a splurge. It sucks!

That's what happened to me... I'm a sucker for Chicken. I must say...the Brabanter's are SO sweet. They really like to be pet. They are alway curious what I'm doing. They are one of my favorite Chickens...

Beautiful! I so admire that kind of artistic talent- both yours and hers.

Ok got my new Rooster today. Gonna call him Whitey

I wish you the best with him. I know how hard to are trying to breed them.

My White Bresse's

It's exciting to have someone so close with this breed. Are you going to try eating any, to see if they live up to their reputation?

Debi, I didn't realize it was you, because you changed your avatar pic.

Thank you so much for voting for them!

My husband does build coops for other people, if anyone is interested. He's making a modified version of this, for me, now: post #1

Quote: Yes, Jamaican Blue Mountain is a scam. The place I get my un roasted coffee beans from had an article about it. Jamaica will not let un roasted beans out of the country, so they are always old beans.

Try to find a local roaster or roast your own! Best coffee ever. I am brewing up a cup of Rwanda beans that I roasted on Sunday. 3 to 7 days after roasting is when coffee is the best.

Quetro is the chicken.
I tried to find them last year. Wolf Tracks said someone had them in the Bay Area in the 70s I think. They lay the most amazing eggs.

I hope you find someone with them.

Deb, Jaerhorns are about the same size as a Campine. really cool breed. very hardy and lay a good number of eggs

Really? They looked "beefier" in the photo, so I assumed they were a little larger, more the size of my lakenvelder, a larger, small, large fowl, LOL

Quetro is the chicken.

Two different people were selling them on here about a year ago, I'll see if I can find them for you.

Mario wanted the door to close better in the middle so we put 10 bags of feed on it to smooth it out and bought an extra latch. The plan is to put the latch on next week and have it ready for anything I can grab from the Stockton show. This should keep the humidity high at the hatching place and lower where the eggs are so we don't drown anyone. Of course not accidently incubating at 50-60% will also help.

Those eggs are freakishly large from those birth hens however, I'm still in shock that they came out of liv and cate.
