Me, too! Especially if they are spotted with crests!Look at those eyes! They have the sweetest looking faces! I'm a sucker for crests too. What is wrong with me that I want everything I see on here?

Debi, I didn't realize it was you, because you changed your avatar pic.Thank you so much for voting for them!![]()
My husband does build coops for other people, if anyone is interested. He's making a modified version of this, for me, now: post #1
Quote: It is the Leghorn in them!
I found some information on those Quetro chickens. They are from Oceana! Easter Island and our blue layers came from them.

The closest you may find will be the Araucanas chickens.
I kept the pic of my barred rock for a long time since her name is Pet thus my BYC name PetRock. But I am planning on breeding Langhsans and have been busy taking pics of them to post on the Langshan thread. They are so curious that it is sometimes hard to get pics of them because they are constantly coming up to me to see what I have. My new Avatar is a closeup of one of my blue pullets named Jewel. I'm going to dream about having one of your coops! I need to get busy getting rid of my stuff so we can put our house on the market and buy a little shack on lots of land.![]()

Are you going to the Stockton show?
Quote: Ha! These are now at the very top of my wish list! Can you tell me a little more about them? Large fowl? Egg color? Clean legs? Is there a comb under that lovely crest?
I look forward to seeing you! Have you heard if we have set a time and place to meet this year?Jewel certainly looks like she has lots of personality.I'm going to the show. I look forward to it every year. So many chickens! See you there!![]()
Thank you so much!Dubbing take about 3 weeks to heal and might still look white/pink before i heal completly
Different reasons for dubbing... Some roosters have such a large comb it might get frost bite, others might have issues with visibility if it flopps over and rubbs eye,
If they are show fowl it needs to be done in the rule book. Never seen a judge handle and grade a non dubbed roo
Some like the dubbed look for mini bataman and old english games
Similar to rotwhiller (sp) dubbed tail amongst other dog breeds just make them look right
You have a good eye. This is the most desired color in bantam and large fowl BLRWs. The breeder actually wanted to buy her because of it
Oh man!
