She is a rock star!
Curious little thing!
Looks like a pop star to me.
Definitely all of the above. Love her ♥

The Rocks and the RIRs are bigger but she lays the bigges egg. I think the Partridge Rocks might beat her when they are a year old--I have bee getting very nicely shaped egg from one of them. Rocks lay amazing eggs but they are not dark brown.

She is 13 months old and has a nice fluffy bottom. The feathers on her feet are a bit messed from the mud though.

I will get some more pictures this afternoon. I am going to clean out the Dorking X pen. There is an EO Basque and a P Penne in there so the pictures will be fun and shared on several threads....

Miranda, my Blue Marans laid a nice egg today. My Oldest DD rummages through the egg carton and will only use the biggest ones. I told her that the eggs were bigger than she thought. I checked today and the smallest one was a Medium egg.

This one from Miranda weighs 75G and is a Jumbo egg!

So I am not the only one that weighs their eggs?

I keep track of the size of each egg so that I can pull out eggs closest in size for hard boiling. Don't call me OCD!

I select eggs more on what they look like for hard boiling. The long narrow ones just do not boil and peel well. I do love the scale though. I used it yesterday to weigh the pie dough to make sure I had the one that was slightly bigger for the bottom crust. I also use it when I make bagels and sourdough Baguettes. They really do bake better when they are the same size.

Heck no! I weigh mine too. Not every day but several times a week. :D I know my pullet eggs are around 45 grams and the Orp eggs after laying a few months are still only hitting the 55 gram area. Small to me compared to my duck eggs.
