Ok we def got a leghorn egg today.

The middle tiny one? Warm out of a nest the LHs jumped out of. Our only bantam Wyandotte also hopped off a nest holding a tiny beige-y one. She didn't lay 2 eggs in a day. Altho oddly the LH egg looks not very white in the image. The 2 on either side of the middle white are both from our lone bantam wyandotte. The big egg is from one of my Pekin ducks a d the the tan one is an Orpington egg.

Congratulations!

The TJs eggs will probably get whiter. First egg are weird. Once those two get their egg laying factories going, you will get a lot of eggs; big ones too!

Oh Yes! Get the red chard.

I have a Giada recipe for Creamy Manicotti with chard. Lots of work but great tasting!
Sounds good, saved! When you say red chard is the leaf red? I bought the bright lights chard mix that has stems that are red, pink, orange but the leaf is dark green. I like chard no matter what color.

Mmm we love chard and kale here. I buy the frozen bags of chopped kale from Trader Joes. I toss some in most of my soups. I thaw it and add it to lasagna. Like I would spinach. Yummy! Chard is so yummy with a light sautée in olive oil and garlic. I'm getting so hungry now!

Speaking of it has anyone cooked polenta in a rice cooker? Can't ask mario he will freak at the thought of putting anything else in there. But I'm umpire and it sound much less messy then a double broiler
