I'd love to get some Brabanter eggs from you.  I going to Tahoe in Feb 16 and returning 2/20 .. I think,  any chance you will have eggs then?  I'd love to see your place, but I will have a car full of teenagers.  My son is turing 18 so I am taking him and 7 friends to Tahoe for a few days.  I should have my head examined. LOL

I am most likely going to Tahoe again in April so if  Feb does not work out for you maybe April will work.

Just call me when you are coming this way. I'll let you know if I have eggs. It shouldn't be a problem. I have 5 hens. They just need to Start laying again. They stopped the second I put the rooster in the breeding pen. I'm sure that is temporary ...

I used white ping pong balls and within 24 hours my Betty had ripped all her chest feathers out and was sitting on them. haha!

Thanks I will do with the ping pong balls (I will wait til it gets a wee bit warmer a couple of weeks?) I didnt even expect these big birds to be laying so well.... Hey my Roo looks like the one in the photo but fatter (maybe too much gamebird feed hes only 8 months old I want to show him off, hes so sweet too we call him Big Poo and my 10 yr old likes to pick him up and cuddle him)....

Yesterday was bath day for most of the chickens going to the show today. Despite having to get 24 birds done in 4 hours, I had to run to the house for the camera. I was trying to make the work a bit more fun while washing his crest, I don't think he was too happy. Shall we name him PeeWee Herman? And DH is a real trooper, I'd wash a serama and pass it over, here was half the set. Deb

Oh Gosh Deb, you two crack me up. That roosters hair is awesome and you Hubby with his babies...

Glad to see you are making bathing 24 chickens fun. Good luck this weekend. I would love to go but, still on bed rest. Even though I snuck out of the house for a minute to meet papa brooder ...

Nothing has been arranged yet as far as the birds are concerned. I (through sarah)made the offer to help take them and keep them at the ranch ( all my birds are being shipped so I have 11 empty pens there)

We are waiting to hear from the family if they would us to help.

Please let me know if I can do ANYTHING to help. My heart goes out to friend and family. Tragic!
