No sorry. I don't have any Tolbunt Polish,

Actually, I do have four little polish Frizzle sizzle things. I'm not even really sure what they are. Sherry, the silkie lady in Lincoln sent a few eggs home with my son about three months. Those are the only polish I have. They are still so small. Silly little things...

Congrats on your freeway business! Better be careful the Highway Patrol is going to start noticing the interstate exchanges!

My husband and I saw two big horse trailers pulled off the freeway and two guys in wrangers and boots exchanging roosters!

We had to wonder why they had stock trailers to move two roos!

If anyone sees a nice Black or Blue Copper Marans roo with dark egg history, please, please, please contact me! I really NEED one! PM me if you're willing to look for me and I'll give you my phone to text me with prospects. I have to work and can't make the show. Can't wait to see what everyone finds....don't forget to post for those of us who can't join in on all the fun.
Debbie from Heavensent ranch in Red Bluff is one of 2 or 3 people with certified Little Peddlar Marans:

Hi everyone quick question when placing eggs in the incubator i see some people place their eggs sideways with an X and an O on either side and turn by hand, while otheres place point end down in egg carttons which is the better method ?

Either is fine. Some people like to put them in an egg carton wide end up so they only have to prop one end of the carton up. It makes for faster egg turning. Just make sure you do it an odd number of times. (like 3 times a day) That way they are not on the same side every night.

I have an auto turner, so I just place them wide end up and my incubator turns them for me.

Shipped eggs always do better if they are up. Hatcheries leave the eggs up for the first 18 days and the put them on their side at lockdown.

Do you have an auto turner? If not, you can turn the eggs by tilting the incubator while the eggs are in a carton.

Mine are up and I will tilt them in a carton at lockdown.

This is a current hatch in the Octogaon 4o"

Lockdown from last years easter hatch. The water has red food coloring in it to help see the water level.
