Welcome ChickenPotPie.

Quote: My Broody kept them under her for about an hour and then they were out from under her and cold. I think it was because she was young. I hope to try again sometime since I have a couple that should go broody. The SG Dorking would probably have been better at it.

That is my fear.  I am glad that I have a day or so to think on it.  Since they are arriving on Friday at the feed store, they should be pretty close in age.  Would you explain to me why she might have trouble keeping them under her?

Can they get away from he? Or are they close in a pen? The biggest issue I have had s the chics not taking to Maya right away and getting lost. If they are close it is not such a issue.

Well, thank you all for the warm welcome.
