These are the rules. It would be up to a mod I think.

Rule # 10 - Promoting other forum, etc.

Do not promote other websites that are "similar" to BackYardChickens, especially similar forums. Sometimes it may be appropriate to link to another site that has specific information relative to a question, but moderators have to right to remove links and posts at their discretion.

Rule # 11 - Luring to other forum

Luring members to other forums is not allowed and we prohibit discussing drama that happens on other forums. We've worked hard for years to build up this community and we will not tolerate people coming in and spamming our members via the public forum, private messages, or emails to join another community.

Thank you...I go back to the breast specialist on Friday and still waiting for results from the brain specialist.
This is really cutting into my Chicken time

Molly do you need help with the chickens?
I knew you were with a breast specialist, but brain specialist too? Obviously I missed something. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for good news.

Put a thermometer in there.. any thermometer you can read from outside. You just want to see what range you can get it in and if it will hold steady. You will need to adjust the wafer thermostat to get it to the desired temperature. Just turning it on will only say it heats up - not that it holds the temps - and I wouldn't want to overheat anything. Did it come with any instructions? I have my old ones (somewhere) if you need me to scan it and send it to you. It gives you instructions on how to use the wafer thermostats and set them up.

I would buy a base if the old one is broken into the chamber area. If the break doesn't go into the chamber you don't need a new base. Looks are not as important as serviceability. Keep your money to buy good eggs

I have a digital oven thermometer. works great
I just hatched a bunch of Deb's GC chicks. They are by far the coolest looking chicks I have ever hatched, and I have hatched alot of chicks. I wish they kept their chick pattern,- it is really striking. But then again the adults are adults are gorgeous too.
we love campines.

Amy, the hen doesn't really care about color. Think about something like an Icelandic, the chicks can be any color.

Loving all the chicks pictures though. I have 38 eggs going into lockdown tonight,

They really are one of my favorite chicks. Of course, I might not be totally impartial!

Oh my gosh Molly, I must have missed something. I hope all goes well, you'll certainly be in my thoughts. Truly, let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Thanks Ron. My page is for my farm and in no way compare to a forum like BYC but will respect the moderators opinion.

Amy Beth, I'll PM you about the community page that FB could change you to, inadvertently.

Thank you, that would be awesome. My outlets for chicken stuff are really here. My personal FB page- I think most people have hidden me. haha! I cannot post these things on my business page. Those people want to see moody bw pics of kids- what I tend to do the most of not chickens. LOL So FB seemed like a nice outlet for the overage of pictures haha!

be careful wiht oven themomoters. I have one wiht a probe, and a reptipro thermomoter wiith a probe, the oven one needs a 2 degree change before it shifts, teh repti .1 degree.

and HOLY COW! I will need some help in the morning people. I Did NOT plan this hatch well.
I ahve 3 chipmunk breeds that all hatched well, and I dont know who is who!

How do I tell apart
welsummers
silver leghorns
cream legbar girls
barnies
That is like 35 chicks that look the same, THEY ARE CHEATING.
at a few days old!

They all look so similiar! madnes. I will post pictures tomorrow. I thought Id know the wellies at least for sure, adn I thought the leghorns would be obvious too! and the legbars! gaa. My friend intended to look at the eggs and who came from what and mark em early, but 25 came out at once, lol. At least I know silkies and oe's...

The poor things got overheated in the car and I lost one :(. I gave everyone electrolytes and they look better now, everyone is sleeping or eating, but I wont be surprised if I loose one overnight from the stress.
( miss Zoo, I saw your PM and wil respond in the morning, i'm frantically watching chicks and cleaning since my mother decided she was going to make a surprise visit here tomorrow...
