I have had them die at less then two days. I would get them out as soon as they dry off. If only a couple, you can get them out fast enough to not hurt the pipped eggs. Drop a wet paper towel square into the bator(not onto the eggs) when you get them out. I am not leaving them in for very long ever again.

Oh my gosh Ron you know I am going to be like glued to this thread for the next 2 days right? RIGHT?? ahhh! I am so excited to see the frankenducks you hatch from me! EEEE!!

Hi Amy Beth!

Ducks lock down in the morning and they hatch on Saturday according to the Duck incubation chart I have. I will never get the humidity up to 94% though.

Get the spot check from www.brinsea.com. It is $19.00 there and you can get a 10% coupon code from their facebook page. See if you can get faster shipping from them.

Is there a cheaper place to get it? $30 eesh! And how do you use it? Just lift the lid or stick down one of the holes?
Well it isn't significantly cheaper but I just ordered this for when I get my chicken eggs in a couple of weeks. I am a certainty type of person. I like to know what I know for sure and I don't have any way to check my Genesis I just got. It is very sensitive to room temperature and although I thought I had it in a relatively stable temperature room, I was wrong. So to be certain my readings are accurate I just ordered it off of the Brinsea website and they still let me use the ADozenGirlz coupon code for 10% off. Since this was all I ordered it only saved me $2 but I am just tired of not being sure. :D So I splurged and I need very little motivation to by chicken stuff. $2 was enough motivation.
