With a Golden Feather membership, you can turn off adds. I don't see any of them now.

I may have to do that! I don't mind the non-video/audio ads because sometimes they have coupons that I use. It would be better for my pocketbook, though, if there were no ads at all!

It is very hard to judge a breed by what comes from Hatchery Stock. You never know what has been crossed into them and Hatcheries care about egg production over friendliness.

From experience with other breeds, there is a huge change in friendliness when the pullets get close to laying eggs. The opposite often happens with the little cockerels though...

This is exactly how I feel! But in a good way Just put our names on the waiting list for 2 dozen guinea eggs, too. The RIRs are so beautiful, and so are your birds, Molly! Looking forward to your pictures, Cheryl. I'm sorry you are having to sell your breeders. They're gorgeus!

What do you guys think of Cochins? We got a boy and girl from McMurray (my "splurge") and I really dislike them. They're pretty - or they will be, but they're the least friendly of all the chicks. I just don't understand it.

I love my little Cochins, I just hatch about twenty Cochin bantam frizzles .....talk about adorable...

Love these birds Molly. And the hen is gorgeous, sometimes they get short-changed in the coloring department!

What do you guys think of Cochins? We got a boy and girl from McMurray (my "splurge") and I really dislike them. They're pretty - or they will be, but they're the least friendly of all the chicks. I just don't understand it.

I love my bantam columbian cochins. They are the sweetest things. When I open their pen door, they always run out to me and will stand on top of my feet. I have to lift them off to walk.


I have one LF blue pullet. She is a HUGE ball of fluff and I have her entered in her first show. She was included in a group of swap eggs, so the only one I have. She just started to lay and is living in a pen with my LF tolbunt polish. I've set a couple of her eggs for fun. I can hardly wait to see what might hatch.

That is strange, I dont see any ads pop up and dont have a special membership of any sort. Is it when you run over the ads on the right ? There are just a couple on min and I have to click on them for them to come up.
