So where are the 49,000 without power? Are they doing rolling brownouts? I will boil in this house with AC. It gets so hot

Am texting my bro-in--law in the dark in Cameron Park. Cell phones overloaded but texts work. Looks like fire smallish but near PG&E substation so power cut for safety of firefighters. Now in process of checking substation for damage. May need to wash off soot before restoring power. Cliff says house quickly heating up. I offered our place but they are worried about koi pond, cats, and elderly neighbors.

Hilarious.....but not really in a funny way.....more like a documentary or a public service notice.

Hope they get the fire out soon and the power back on. We've been through that situation before and it is horrible. Smoke filled skies make it seem hotter!

Just gave the girl's more melon, they are ready for a cool down. More panting today since it didn't cool down as much last night and no breeze at all.

I'm getting worn out dragging hoses around getting the veggie beds extra water. I'm not looking but it's probably time to pick cuc's again. Maybe I'll pick in the morning, give them to the chickens and eliminate one of my chores.

I put water all around the coop for the girls. Its so hot out. Poor babies. Coo Coo is just standing by the back door waiting for someone to open the door so she can sneak into the house.

I was without power from 4:19 to 7:20ish...

I was out under the misting system and it died (no power for the well pump). Now I gotta reset the range, microwave oven and Keurig coffee maker clocks. Oh yah, and the one in the bedroom.

But I did spend a nice session by the pond, enjoying the goslings swimming with Caleb.

Thank Goodness the power was back on!
