Linda beat me to my own words, Pic 1 is a shoe in. I think Pic 2 might have a bit of a busy background.

And there's no reason an EE (that is actually a non-standard color Ameraucana) should lay anything other than a clear blue egg. The shell color isn't tainted, it's only non-standard on the outside. On the other hand an EE that is a crossbred Ameraucana or Araucana, is more likely to lay green, pink, brown. It would be more unlikely to lay a blue egg. It kind of depends on what the cross consisted of.

all of them are so excellent! i'm waffling between a) submitting a couple of my somewhat-unique polaroids, b) going out to the coops armed with my DSLR + the just-arrived adaptor to allow me to use my dad's gorgeous old lenses with it & try to take some new ones (although pictures in coops rarely look terribly special, and the bobcat is still lurking so don't want to let them out), or c) not submit anything. leaning toward (c), as the start of the semester has got me completely wiped out energy-wise.

tack-sharp of course depends on my manual focussing, and my eyesight keeps getting worse -- but i did a little test yesterday, both pictures taken with my Canon DSRL minutes apart, with the exact same fstop and shutter speed, top on with my standard Canon 50mm lens & the bottom with dad's 1960s-era pentax lens -- HUGE difference:

Interesting! Which is more true to color on the hydrangea? I like the bottom image best.

Marylangdon on byc has kick @$$ pheasents. Not the best shipping ( might ask for her to ship however you want) but reaalt fine outrageously beautiful pheasents turkeys and game birds.

She will tell you when you can get eggs or chicks.

Yes, I'm kinda afraid of those people. 

Sure wish someone would have told me that about 4 months ago. Talk about disappointed. Guess I will need to find some true Ameraucana chickens next spring.

Get a cream legbar instead - better personality, better layer, larger blue eggs.

When I looked at them larger I like the bottom one better also. I love flower photos!
