Oh my! Adorable!! I wish I needed another cat haha the only way to convince my husband for more animals is if we "need" them
I love babies..... other peoples babies! lol He is so cute. His pictures make him look pretty mellow. Is he?
My husband and son are in horde leaving Black Rock City today. Attendance in mid 60K range, making it the second largest city in NV this past week. Early this afternoon there was an announcement that rain and thunderstorms were on the way, and urged everyone to pack up and leave. DH said there were thousands breaking camp at the same time. The exodus is controlled by only letting 300 vehicles and hour on to the road out. DH and DS only had to wait 4 hours to get to pavement. They've gone the past three years and already agreed this would be their last (at least for a while). Too quiet here this week with me and the dogs, cat, chicks, and goldfish. I'm looking forward to the playa dust decontamination - takes lots of cleaning before anything they took with them can be put away.
Very cute!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that Anakin finds his way home.
I have 3 broodies right now. 2 OE's and my 6 month old hatchery Australorp. Makin' me crazy. The "foster" mom is an OE (Barnevelder and Ameraucana). The chicks are from Melvin my Salmon Favorolle roo and my "wheaten-ish" EE pullet. I was hoping that I might be able to tell gender early because of the color difference for the Salmon Favorolles, I'll keep track, and we'll see. I just got so excited to hatch eggs from my own chickens.Looks like a great Mom, the contrast with the chicks is so cute Lizanne. Is she a sexlink? None of mine have shown any interest on setting.
yes he is a sweet heart but he is a kittyI love babies..... other peoples babies! lol He is so cute. His pictures make him look pretty mellow. Is he?
I love your photo! Those installations enthrall me. I am the behind the scenes/support and vicariously attend. The debriefings from DH and DS (no doubt sanitized for me) are a hoot. This is father-son bonding time and I don't mind my role. I had Lasik 10 years ago and am now experiencing significant dry eyes issues. No doubt getting older isn't helping. Anyhow, I think I'd probably find playa dust my downfall. ( As it is on bad days I want to scratch my eyes out). Do you go with a group? DH and DS meet up with friends and camp adjacent so built in support system. I did get a taste of the creativity at the Maker Faire in San Mateo earlier this year. We also caught last year's Art Car exhibit at the big auto museum in Reno.Ah, playa dust! We still find playa dust on things years later, and we thought we cleaned everything! I said the same thing your husband and son are saying after my fourth year, but ended up going the following two years before taking a six year break. I did not go this year, but my digital picture frame has been playing my Burning Man pictures from (seven!) past years all week, and I look forward to stories and pictures from friends who went.
Here is a picture I took last year of my favorite art installation, Star Seed:
