So sorry about Curly.

The first one I saved that way, Penelope taught me the "no special needs chickens" mantra. You really bond closely with the bird when you have to help them with every need. It makes it tough to lose them. And I have so many birds now, I just have to subscribe to survival of the fittest.

Just want to say thank you to Jason and Mary for offering a fertilized egg to my bantam. She is off the nest, outside, with an egg open and eaten. The generosity on BYC is wonderful. Such nice people. Maybe if everyone had chickens our world might be a nicer place.

I gave up on the EO eggs today. Little Hans hatched out on Saturday but the other two didn't even pip. I suspect bacteria as the cause. I've decided on Hans since it will likely be a boy and it's a solo hatch. I can use a good male so it's all good!
