I have hens laying eggs at dusk! Three more yesterday between 5 and 7pm.

It makes me feel both happy and sad.

Not yet but they are big! I have two types of poison--Agrid and liquid. They are eating two stick a night and have been eating that much for 20 days. One was dying under the plum tree a couple of nights ago. He did not survive the shovel hit.

The Agrid is not supposed to kill the chickens if they eat the dead rat.

I am getting Mottled Java eggs for Beakface.

Any that hatch will look like this.


Can you stand it? We are going to be OOT so I have asked her to ship early next week. BF will be happy to get off golf balls and I will hopefully be getting babies that I want to add to my flock.

The Mottled Java does look a lot like the Pita Pintas. Pita Pintas have plenty of personality though. And they lay a lot of Jumbo eggs.

They are supposed to be tasty too. I have so many chicken dinners getting bigger each day.

I have three of them--They are worthless.

I might need a Rat Terrier though!

The rats come in from the Warehouses and fields this time of year. I am controling them for now.

Haha ya 2 of my cats are worthless and 2 are serious hunters. They bring things constantly. It's great, as long as my 7 year old doesn't see it! Lol

If you have warf rats you will need to get a ratter dog - or a really big cat... those things are nasty too and will gang up and kill cats.
