Off topic question. I know I can't feed whole trout to my dogs or cats because of the bones. What about chickens? We have an abundance of trout in the freezer. I don't mind a one time trout feed for my family but this is just waaaay to much trout! A friend cleaned out her freezer and gave it to my hubby. Then my son caught about 30 fish while camping and it ALL came home. SO, can the chickens have raw whole trout?
Here is the new family! One splash marans, 1 jubilee x (possibly CL, I'm thinking so with the markings) and 6 Bresse. Let them out with the whole flock and everything went well. The others came up to check them out and no issues. They looked really close then went on their way. Dad seemed pleased. But mom and babies are back in their own pen now. She just started laying in Sept, and making a good mommy.
Thank you, I will limit the fish to 1 x weekly treat for a while then. No one wants fishy eggsYes, they can eat it. Too much will make the eggs taste fishy.
I have given mine left over rabbits and etc. They pick the meat off of the bones.
