Seems to me that you should get some pretty green eggs from that cross.I don't have an Ameraucana but I do have a Cream Legbar Ro and a Buff Orpington hen. Am I oversimplifying this to think I can get pretty eggs from this cross?
Oh Dear!anyone know when isbars typically start to lay?
I found a post where someone last June had an Isbar start laying after 25 weeks. It would take a bit longer in Winter though.

I was just curious. They're only 15 weeks old. I have a blue roo and a splash girl. They're soooo prettymy pure isbar pullets were eaten by the bobcat before they could start laying -- i have two more now (and additional eggs in the mail, hooray!), but they are too young to lay yet. my two isbar/marans crossed both started laying right around 24 months.
It looks like they take a bit longer than average but expect egg around 25 weeks.I was just curious. They're only 15 weeks old. I have a blue roo and a splash girl. They're soooo pretty
