Okay guys here are my 20 week old White Chickens! The Black Australorp behind them is a little over a year old and they were purchased from a Farm Supply store that is Family owned and a "Friend of the Family" had her chicks there and she said they were "Leghorns" She said they are Great for up here in the Northwest,,(near Seattle and as I've explained before I'm originally from Tracy, CA and my wife is from Sydney Australia) because they can stand up to the snow and cold weather because of the thickness of their feather! She swears they lay "Large and double yolks" on a regular basis! If you could see them next to the one year old you'd think that "SHE" was the younger one! We're so confused now! HELP!!!...lolol~David
Everything she told you about the birds is correct! Just not the Leghorn part.
One thing she did not add is that that Plymouth Rocks are winter layers, so will do very well for you in the rainy dark winter.
You are very lucky to have them!
