Hmmm…so I could get Blacks, Blues or Splashes you think? No lavs but splash/lav split? I'm just trying to get some pretty OE and want to try it out. Wish I had some pretty Blue AM to cross the Blue Copper Marans with. But the Lavs are all I have now. I figured Blue to Blue would be best, but since they're just OE I wanted to try. I put 2 in the bator so we'll see what I get. Thank you so much ChickNmamma

Iirc the higher your membership the more ads allowed and the more they get bumped. For your business with peri um eggs you might as well do the whole thing. But there should be somewhere that explains what each level g Ives you.

Colored zip ties or vet Wrap can be used until they are grown.\

only sometimes I get "paralysis of analysis" practically when it comes to choosing what breeds to get with limited space.

I was set on the Norwegian Jaehon for a white layer but now you've gone and messed me up with a source of California Gray's. I had forgotten they were sex linked with is very nice. My hope was to breed whatever I got into a sex linked blue egg layer over a 5 year or so time period. I'm up for advice.
So many chickens, so little space.

~~Hi All, It has been a while since I have been on BYC and I forgot how much fun it is! I live in the San Jose Area and am wanting to fill a bator with some fertile eggs. It is for a 4H project but aside from the few chicks that will go to some of the kids, I will be adding to my existing flock with the majority of the eggs. I keep chickens for eggs so definitely want good layers. I currently have mostly RIR's and EE's with a couple of others thrown in. I am open to breeds. I will not be wanting bantams, although some of the kids may desire some. I will be setting the eggs on the 8th of March so would ideally like to get the fresh laid eggs a few days before that. I am willing to drive up to two hours to get them! Any help with local fertile egg sellers would be appreciated!
