The extra humidity for a couple of days will not hurt them.
I have Marans and other eggs currently on day 15. Any more info on waiting till you hear them peep rather than just raising humidity on day 19? And I missed the memo about lowering the temp for hatch. Please explain or tell me where I may read more.Eggs hatch better at a slightly lower temperature.
ok these aren't labels. But the cutest egg stamps!! too pricey for me to justify, but cute nonetheless !

Eggs hatch better at a slightly lower temperature. The rails pop out so it should be east to remove them.
So we can keep them in the automatic turner until cheeping or pipping? Sorry, just want to be clear. Don't want to mess this upEggs hatch better at a slightly lower temperature. The rails pop out so it should be east to remove them.

LolLet me get my Breaking Bad costume, liquid Nitrogen and etc. ready...could be quite a business....
I ran across some studies that found better hatch rates with temps down to 97degrees during the last three days. Meet my new 10 month old LF black Langshan trio that I purchased from Sherry Parker! I'm so excited to add them to my breeding program! They have wonderful tail spreads and a gorgeous beetle green sheen to their feathers! Sherry got her stock from Joe Oakley and from James Smith who is the AZ breeder that I wanted birds from!
Monet loves naming our birds. The cockerel is Shang and the two pullets are Mulan and Lucy Lu.![]()
