Okay guys & gals, I need help finding some chicks for a friend. He has a lot of experience raising birds & did it for many years commercially but is now retired & can have birds of his own & of his choice. I am trying to convince him NOT to order hatchery birds. He doesn't want the minimum of 25 anyway. I thought we should be able to find what he wants. We would prefer chicks but if necessary I could hatch eggs but I do hate the failures on shipped eggs. I had hoped to be through doing that. So discouraging........ I had to do that for a couple of years to get what I wanted. The expense & disappointments are something I would like to avoid.
He wants Blue laced red wyandottes..............................Any suggestions??????

I gave my BLRWs to friend who lives in Grass Valley. They are the best of 2+ years of breeding. They are not laying yet, but you or your friend can PM her and ask to be put on a list for eggs or chicks. Her BYC name is Zoichick (Cyndi.)

I have a PIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may now return to your lives.

Here is my little 16 day old stinker ! Pips are fun.

Remember when I told you that Hattie didn't want to go to bed in the coop and on clear nights refused. The General tries to coax her inside but when she doesn't go he joins her on the roost. I just think he is the sweetest boy. He doesn't keep the peas away like Ray but he is so happy to have girls at last that he is an utter gentleman.Well that is except in the morning. He spends the fist 20 minutes after being let out of the coop chasing and dancing and wooing and the girls are just not into it. He makes a pest of himself for sure

@juststruttin this pic is for you in particular.

I think she is his favorite and she just doesn't want to share him with the other girls.....

I don't know the BYC name for these people but Union Hill Farm in the Lodi area has them, as does her family in the Hickman area. The Hickman family is on Facebook under Scotch Pine Rare and Heritage Breeds. All very nice people with lovely birds. I think you could buy chicks from them.

If they do get a second bout uf you can find it try the other s drug. (Not sulmet) that I can never remember the name of. It works on different versions of the bug and may be better with the non blood cocci.
Is it sulfadimethoxine? That's what the white powder in the baggie you gave me at the Stockton show, correct?
