OMG!!! I got an egg from the freeloading EE this morning. She hasn't produced since July, I figured she had quit for good.

I also gave a broody OEGB 5 bantam BBS ORP eggs to sit on. She has been trying to steal eggs for 2 weeks without much luck since she's the smallest bird in that coop. Hope we get a splash pullet for DD!

This is the time of the year for chickens to start laying eggs for sure!

I hope the broody hatch goes well for you.

Has anyone tried "Durvet Strike III" poultry wormer? It kills 3 types of worms...Large Roundworms, Cecal worms and Capillary worms. You mix it with feed and it says there is no egg withholding time....just 3 days withholding for meat.
It's Hygromycin B, right? I know nothing about the efficacy of that wormer.

Quote: I did a search for it and everything shows that Hygromycin B is an antibiotic. I am having difficulty understanding how an antibiotic could kill worms. I emailed Durvet and asked for clarification on how that works...
I think it's the same thing that's in rooster booster wormer, but don't quote me on that.

It does! Thank you so much for finding that!

It is..... The Jeffers website says it "Contains the only FDA approved wormer on the market today, Hygromicin B".

I have an idea and needing opinions. My hens have picked my rooster's amazing feathering in his feet. I've done the rooster booster no pick, but you have to do that daily and it's a pain.
What about Blu-Kote? If i had some I'd try it, but since I don't I needed a little input. I don't want to waste $$. They pick out the feathers till it bleeds sometimes. Would blu kote solve this?
Had some before when they picked tails as chicks. With the heat lamps, it didn't really help. I felt the red light may have accentuated the Blu-Kote. But there's no lights in their coop, so i'm wondering if it'll help this time.
I may have gotten rid of it. But need to stop these girls from their behavior

What about something like Durvet Inc D-Rooster Booster Pick-no-more Cover-up
