11 days is fine if they have enough space. You can adjust the legs on the Ecoglow so one side is lower than the other.
I need somethimg to distract me lol. atleast tues i can hang with the bf and be distracted but sun and mon i need something to do
Even if chicks are all the same size, it is good to have one side lower than the other. Chicks can snuggle up close if they get cold or move out to where there is more head room if they get too hot. Good luck.that's brilliant, and i totally didn't think of it! yay, i'm going to set some extra campine eggs!

I have an idea and needing opinions. My hens have picked my rooster's amazing feathering in his feet. I've done the rooster booster no pick, but you have to do that daily and it's a pain.
What about Blu-Kote? If i had some I'd try it, but since I don't I needed a little input. I don't want to waste $$. They pick out the feathers till it bleeds sometimes. Would blu kote solve this?
Had some before when they picked tails as chicks. With the heat lamps, it didn't really help. I felt the red light may have accentuated the Blu-Kote. But there's no lights in their coop, so i'm wondering if it'll help this time.
I may have gotten rid of it. But need to stop these girls from their behavior
Thank you very much Walt. Things to think about for sure. Those things didn't cross my mind. It's nice to have a new perspective, Thank youI don't know what your cooping is like, but sometimes this is simply a space problem. Sometimes it is a protein problem and sometimes they just do it. The best thing to do is stop it rather than treat it though.
