One of the chicks I brought into the house is looking a little weak and lays down on it's chest a lot. I have NutriDrench, but it is concentrate and says to mix it at 4 oz to 1 gallon of water for chicks this age.. It has a dropper but does not say how much the dropper holds. It also says to give it directly in the mouth of weak birds, but isn't clear on whether to give the diluted solution or the concentrate.

Quote: Poor thing! I'm glad we don't get these. Great pictures and diagram BTW. Thanks for posting them.
So your ducks are always on wire? I'm trying to see how I can have some. The trick with brooding waterfowl is to get them on wire as soon as possible. That way when they start playing in the water (use narrow lip waterers) all of that drops down into the catch pan which I fill with shavings to absorb the water. I have raised so many waterfowl I forgot they were messy......

Oh crud, I'm doomed.

Adorable! I need some ducks!
The only time I've heard the clicking noise when they breathe is when they are dying. Sorry. So the male Serama I got yesterday has very red and featherless skin on his breast/stomach and above his vent. Has anyone ever seen that?
Also when I pick up the female she holds her mouth open. When she breathes there is a click noise with each breath out. She does do it when I'm not holding her too.
I have them separate from my flock. Is there anything I should do? I did put frontline plus on them and VetRX on there combs.
Quote: I haven;t used IVermectin. I use a product called SCATT for my finches. I think Ivermectin is used 2 days in a row and needs to be repeated weekly for 3 weeks.
