My cockerel Pascal (yes named after the chameleon from Tangled lol) attacked my foot one time, I was wearing shoes that didn't have a top, ouch pinched my skin. He got a lift off the ground with my foot (not hard) and has never tried that again lol.It never stops sucking but it does get easier.
So says the silkie under my window.
Seremas are Fiesty little things. When Snickerdaddy Bites he holds on! Goes for the feet.

Tommy do you have a bantam coop?
I have a micro silkie comming up. I could get it dna tested (it is so small I don't think it will lay eggs or crow) that is going To need a special home. No comb area to speak of signs say girl but special needs for sure.
This is very very funny. I had a Red Star who attempted to go broody last summer. She didn't get the memo either.Remember how I wanted a broodie?
Well.... Somebody heard me and within a day, I had a broodie!![]()
I also have insane MF leghorns that don't do what they are supposed to do.
I believe this one has gone broody. Or is trying to anyway. She has completed 2 whole days in this nest.
The video is of me risking my limbs to sneak in an egg and offer fresh shavings for nesting.
I do have to figure out a better spot for her but that will take a couple days of fixing.

Thanks!! I did it, and it sucked. I guess I've been lucky up until now though. Thanks for all the support guys.![]()
I am sorry Nikki. I had one like that top pic under a broody. I think when mama had to get up to chase after a wild little hatchling it cooled off and died in the shell like yours. Heartbreaking. Two eggs had alot of liquid and all i coulf see was the chick curled up they were both tinier then they should have been and the third one was fully formed and pointed towars the aircell (beak was actually in the air cell membrane but didnt poke throug it also had absorbed most of the yolk as u can see in the first pic. aircells were all good size, humidity was 50-60% during incubating and 70-80% during hatching
Yes it would. Do you all find yourself looking at structures everywhere you go and sizing them up as potential coops? I do it all the time!
