TBH, a broodie silkie is only going to be worried about her chicks. She will yell at you a bit, just semi hand feed for a while and you will be gtg. they LOVE bathrooms when they are broody, but broody poo! AAARG

ohhh...I was forgetting about the poo. Thanks for the reminder...maybe the feed shed is the best place afterall.

Man, I am so bumped we only got teased with snow and then it got rained on. Balderdash! Anyone above the snow line wanna trade homes?

Caught Ellie in the nest box again yesterday but this time she wasn't sitting on anyone else's eggs, actually we didn't get ANY eggs yesterday. BAH!

5 Buff and 8 lemon cuckoo Orps. I bred the cuckoos and I got the buffs from the feed store. Plus BB white turkey, which is the monster chick. They are all cuddly.

Cute!!! I wonder what a Blue orp and lemon orp would make.

I had to drag in 12 soaked, grumpy birdies.

oKay question Bout moving chickens. I have a phoenix rooster that im going to mate with my silkies when theyare older. But would i be able to put him in with the 5 week olds? In a divided pen of course but qhere he can see them
